Photo of the Month: September 2012

We went on an adventure in search of a seal colony along the shore of Kaikoura on our summer trip to New Zealand. This small seafood town was definitely a favorite of ours because of its unique pebbly, rocky beaches and the friendly community. After nearly getting mauled by an angry seal and watching a sheep sheering, we strolled back to town as the sun set through the clouds and over the calm sea and pastel mountains.

  1. Wow spectacular photo! I love it. One question though – what is the little orange thing bobbing in the water? I couldn’t figure it out.

    • Thank you, John! :) I think it might just be a buoy.. but I’m not positive.

    • Thanks Nomadic Samuel! We feel your pain… being in college really only gives us a couple breaks and a few months in the summer to travel. Photos and stories of people’s travels and our past trips keep us excited :)
