Top of the Rock at Sunset
Just one week before Sandy hit Manhattan, I was in NYC enjoying the fall weather and autumn colors. Here’s a shot I captured at the top of the Rockefeller Center (AKA Top of the Rock) at sunset. Perfect view of the Empire State Building and clear skies to see all ends of the city.

We went on an adventure in search of a seal colony along the shore of Kaikoura on our summer trip to New Zealand. This small seafood town was definitely a favorite of ours because of its unique pebbly, rocky beaches and the friendly community. After nearly getting mauled by an angry seal and watching a sheep sheering, we strolled back to town as the sun set through the clouds and over the calm sea and pastel mountains.

The joy of travel brings color to our cheeks. Colors fill rainbows and cultures. It’s what makes us say “wow!” when we’re looking down at the colorful world from a high mountain, or while we’re admiring a spectacular sunset. Color is what makes us smile! The universe is full of colors and we’re all traveling around this world, so why not share the colors that have caught our eyes in our recent travels?!

The world’s first ever commercial bungee jump is just outside of our favorite area of New Zealand: Queenstown.
Even though neither of us jumped, we had the awesome opportunity of watching many of our new friends take the leap off of the infamous Kawarou Bridge. We don’t blame our brave-souled friends for choosing this location as their first ever bungee jump. Some people were strapped to their best friend or spouse while others chose the more extreme approach: to be dipped into the crystal blue water below.
Maybe next time we’ll be brave enough…
