Second semester has just begun and this is the first long weekend, so of course my first and natural instinct pointed towards visiting my bestie, Laura. I planned on driving down Friday after class and  I was packing in the morning when I received this text from Laura:

Oh my gosh I totally forgot we have to go to this seminar tonight downtown for my class, would u be okay with going?

Bushrangers Bay

It’s a family tradition. Every December we take the long journey from Tennessee to a peninsula south of Melbourne, Australia (I have spent all but two Christmas’s with my family down under) and each year, we pick a day and go out just before the sun sets to a place called Bushrangers Bay. To get to the bay, we must walk a long narrow path through the bush (about 1.5 miles) filled with lots of greenery, grass fields, trees, butterflies, and kangaroos. 

Ski Trip to Breck

Merry Christmas Everyone! Claire is currently down under in Mornington, Australia enjoying some sunshine with her family and I just returned from a ski trip with my family and some of our close friends. We had such an amazing week staying at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, CO. Both of our families have visited various ski towns together over the years and Breck has continued to be our top destination choice.
